Family Time that Connects Parents and Children

Build anything from cardboard. It's just your family, a shed full of possibilities, and the peaceful Buckinghamshire countryside.

Families don't just visit once.

They come back again and again.

"I would recommend a session in the cardboard shed for everyone.

The space offers the opportunity to connect and be fully present with your child. Claire has created something truly magical."

"A superb space where families can be creative together with cardboard, offering children's imaginations an outlet to make anything and everything. We certainly had a fantastic time."

The Cardboard Shed is a creative space, where families discover the joy of creating together.

No curriculum. No templates. No right way to be creative.

Here, one family at a time, children lead and parents play. Siblings collaborate. Everyone creates side by side in a screen-free space surrounded by the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside.

The Dad Who Remembered How to Play

A dad and his 4-year-old built a box monster together at the Cardboard Shed. As he created the boy told a story. Dad listened, really listened to every word. No phone, no corrections, just 100% present enjoying the story.

The monster needed a knight. The knight needed a horse. Dad sketched and cut. The boy directed and continued his story. They played and created together for an hour.

As they left, the dad smiles and said: "I'm going to do more of this at home."

He'd discovered his son didn't need teaching. He needed a playmate.

Creating Side by Side

A mother daughter arrived nervous. This was a new space and new person. Would they be comfortable?

The girl decided to make a puppet theatre with her family as characters. She started on the puppets. Mum worked on set decorations. I built the theatre box.

I shared my love of reading and asked about her favourite book. "The Enchanted Wood," she said quietly. She began to describe the book in detail, sharing the characters, the magical tree and the story.  Everything changed and the puppet theatre became all her favourite moments from the book. Mother and daughter created all the characters together. They talked and talked. Relaxed. Happy. Creating side by side.
